Introduction:
This is a report about NZ Giant Weta.

Diet:
The NZ giant weta likes to eat gorse flowers and invertebrates.

Physical Features:
The weta has spikes on its legs to defend itself from it’s enemies. Weta have been here for a long time. They were  even here when the dinosaurs were here.

Habitat:
Some giant weta live at the Mahoenui Reserve in
Waikato but most live in forests and trees.

Predators:
Weta are mainly scared of rats because the rats will eat
them.

Main threats:
Their main threats are fires because they can burn the wetas’ habitat.

Behaviour:
The giant weta are very gentle and non-aggressive.

Conclusion:
Weta are great insects and you should check them out.Giant weta are great to look at under a microscope.
